“It’s the greatest thing since ice cream!”
(from a customer at Cadora 2008)
Well...that wasn’t exactly what we had in mind.
What we did have in mind was creating a hay feeder that would achieve a few basic objectives:
√ Allow a 'natural' head down feeding position
√ Increase chew time
√ Reduce exposure to Parasites
√ Help to address Boredom and Dominance
We also wanted the hay feeder to be:
√ Safe, with no sharp edges
√ Versatile enough to fit multiple bale types
√ Durable enough to withstand a horses kick
√ Portable enough to be moved by hand
√ Stable enough that a horse won't knock it over Read More
Then we thought it would be nice to deal with these issues as well:
√ Keep the hay off the ground
√ Avoid overhead bars or openings
√ Feed more than one horse
√ Make it easy to clean Read More
So, if achieving these goals and reducing waste to near zero makes the OptiMizer® the "greatest thing since ice cream", who are we to argue.
